Why build a static trainer?

By utilising our static training platfrom, crews are provided with a safe and readily available means to focus directly on their core skills. Correct equipment usage, patient handling, entering and exiting the aircraft, cabin security, cable management, emergency drills, CRM can all be practised and refined in a supervised and controlled environment. Our training platforms are built to the exact specifications of the aircraft being trained for so that the winch crew can transfer the skills practised on the trainer direct to the aircraft.

Not only does this aquaint to safer and standardised crews, but also represents a major cost saving to the operator. Crews that have practised their core skills on the static trainer will achieve their airbourne competancies more efficiently, resulting in better use of training hours, fewer hoist cycles, reduced cable wear and prolonged intervals between hoist servicings.

Our trainers can also be fitted for fast rope and rappel training and configured to adapt with common aircraft components such as D-lock hooks, despatcher harnesses, adjustable seating arrangements, EMS fitouts and any other role equipment as required.
